The person then proceeded to delete all mysql databases on the server which contained all users' data. We have managed to restore the databases, but are currently conducting a thorough audit of all files on the server. We will be patching up any vulnerabilities that we find. As for our users, please change your passwords immediately if you have not done so already. They should be at least 8 characters long and should contain no dictionary words. As an added precaution, it would be advisable to set two-step verification on your account as well. Your account is compromised, and your password does not work As noted by several others here, you should reset your password by clicking the forgot password option on your login screen (which by default is https://www.rust-servers. net/login/ ). Please keep in mind that passwords should be at least 8 characters long, should not contain dictionary words (e.g. "hello", "world") or common phrases (e.g. "I'm new here!", "I've never played before"), and shouldn't be encrypted. If you do not know how to reset your password, there are many third-party services you can use for this purpose (e.g. https://www.1password.com/, https://keybase.io/).
